Biography

Born and raised in Iran, she immigrated to the US in 1984. In later years, Violet became a US citizen. She attended DeAnza College from 1984 to 1987, after which she transferred to SJSU majoring in Computer Science. She started working for Maxim Integrated Products in 1989. After the birth of her daughter, she changed her career from the high-tech sector to be employed full time by her daughter, and later on by her son. As a consequence, she has been involved with children in different stages and capacities. She was an active volunteer in both of her children’s schools. During this time she found her real passion; helping and, working with people. Her work ranges from consoling people with different diseases, mainly MS, to being involved with helping food kitchen, pregnant women and different shelters.
Over the past 15 years she has become an active philanthropist in the areas of education and grant programs for under-served families and charities. She also is an active member of the Democratic Party. She serves as the President’s Partner defending the rights for woman and children. Her work in the field of education includes scholarships and grants for college students.
She is a Member of the Board of Directors of US Immigration Investment Center and will chair the Micro Loan Committee to guide the company’s mission to revitalize communities, provide housing for homeless veterans, access to education and health care.
Currently, Violet resides in the Bay Area with her husband and two children.
