Rana spent a majority of her youth living both in San Francisco and Los Angeles. After spending a couple of years in Southern California, she moved back to San Francisco and graduated from the University of San Francisco with high honors. While living in Los Angeles she acquired a substantial amount of experience working as a law clerk for various firms focused on contemporary business and commercial litigation. Upon returning to San Francisco, she began working closely with a local non-profit concentrating on building experience and knowledge in immigration law. Currently she is the Founder of Sharethelaw Inc. a San Francisco based non-profit. Her non-profit is dedicated to empowering and educating low income communities of San Francisco by creating a movement toward a just society by advancing and sharing knowledge in legal research using various methods of training.
