Nilo Amiri is an experienced Event Manager and an avid music lover. She has over ten years experience in organizing events and concerts and is working towards finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management at San Francisco State University.
In 2011, Nilo was chosen to be part of a summer program with the intent of planning and successfully executing a new VIP area for one of the leading music festivals in Europe, Way Out West. This required idea brainstorming, research, budget considerations and formulating reports. Her efforts led to the opportunity the following year to work with Grandins Flying Circus, a brand experience company, at Way Out West with added responsibility and independent work as she would assist in overseeing the various installations on the festival grounds.
Nilo has also worked as an Event Manager for a start up dance studio in San Jose, CA, where she was responsible for organizing the grand opening, the first annual recital and many other events, as well as coordinating with dance teachers, setting up the CRM software (Mindbody) and office administration.
Currently, she is the Manager of the music venue at San Francisco State University, where she has a wide range of responsibilities ranging from talent booking to house managing all events. She has also been a part of a project team, which organizes the yearly Rhythms Music Festival, which last featured Kehlani as the headliner. During Rhythms, she also had a bigger part in organizing a music symposium, a DJ Competition and a Battle of the Bands competition.
As a dancer, she understands and respects the artistic process, while also being highly organized and motivated to get things done.
