Arianna Talaie

A recent graduate of William and Mary, with degrees in Government and Hispanic Studies, now working as a Global Securities Paralegal in a New York finance law firm specializing in Latin American capital markets transactions. Tango dancer, member of Rumi poetry meet-ups, linguist of five languages, volunteer at New York Immigrants Coalition and member of La Nacional, the oldest Spanish benevolent society in the United States. She is a former "peregrina" after trekking 75 miles of the Camino de Santiago route across northern Spain during the summer of 2014; former resident of La Plata, Argentina, where she interned at the Committee Against Torture (Comite contra la Tortura) at the Commission for Memory (Comision Provincial por la Memoria), analyzing denouncements from prisoners in the province of Buenos Aires and working to produce a yearly report on torture within jails; former Political Affairs intern at the Embassy of Peru in Washington, D.C. and researcher for the Institute on the Theory and Practice of International Relations.
