Nelly Farnoody-Zahiri

I was born in Kansas, during The 70s \"Peace Movement\" and my parents both Psychologists who have had devoted their lives to cultivating \"Peace & Social Justice\" THEN and NOW! I have learned COURAGE from my mother Dr. Nehzat Farnoody, and THE VALUE OF CONSCIOUS LIVING from my father Dr. Al Farnoody...I\'m eternally grateful to both of them for cultivating PeaceLearning Parenting at home and beyond. I lived in Iran from 1977-1984...experienced the good, bad, and ugly times which helped me develop my compassion for helping others in pain. I moved to Los Angeles in 2000 for my Doctoral Internship At Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health and have served The Greater Los Angeles Area since then. I\'ve worked and served The Department of Mental Health, Santa Monica College, UCLA, UCSD, The VA Hospital, The International Center For PeaceLearning, and in Private Practice as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. My Focus is in the area of Attachment Theory & Interpersonal Neurobiology with respect to Loss, Trauma, and PTSD Growth Transformation. You can get more information at www.DrNellyMomTalk.com
