I am a business litigator experienced in various areas of law affecting small and large companies, including startups, in a variety of industries. I handle federal, state, and ADR cases throughout the country, from pre-suit investigation through trial. I have significant experience in:
- complex corporate and commercial litigation matters, both as defendant and as plaintiff;
- environmental litigation (e.g. CERCLA, CEQA, RCRA);
- consumer fraud and privacy class actions (e.g. False Advertising, TCPA, UCL, MMWA);
- regulatory enforcement matters and internal investigations (e.g. crisis management, anti-money laundering compliance); and
- copyright and trade secret disputes.
I also represent clients in the highly-regulated gaming and racing industry, including equipment manufacturers, racing and wagering operators, vendors, investment funds, and other companies that invest in, or provide services to, the gaming or racing industry. I represent such clients in both transactional and litigation matters, and have particular knowledge in the area of online gaming and wagering.
I work in the Los Angeles office of Blank Rome LLP. Blank Rome is an Am Law 100 firm with 13 offices and more than 600 attorneys and principals who provide a full range of legal and advocacy services to clients operating in the United States and around the world. Our professionals are widely recognized for their leading knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of industries, as well as their dedication to diversity and inclusion initiatives and pro bono work.
I am also an officer of the executive board of directors of the National Immigration Law Center (NILC). Established in 1979, NILC is one of the leading organizations in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of immigrants with low income. At NILC, we believe that all people who live in the U.S. should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Over the years, NILC has been at the forefront of many of the country’s greatest challenges when it comes to immigration issues, and it plays a major leadership role in addressing the real-life impact of policies that affect the ability of low-income immigrants to prosper and thrive.
