Shayda Golshan is a Juris Doctorate candidate at UC Hastings College of Law ‘21. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Global Health from the University of Washington in 2016. Growing up in a tight-knit community, Shayda has always felt close to her Iranian background and culture. Her passion for social justice and human rights led her to the Tahirih Justice Center where she is currently a Fellow supporting survivors of gender-based violence. She hopes to continue advocating for populations who have been historically underrepresented and undermined in order to bring them up to the same level of justice and equality as others.
