Marjan Kamali is the author of the acclaimed debut novel, TOGETHER TEA, published by Ecco Books/HarperCollins. TOGETHER TEA was a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award, selected as a WBUR NPR Good Read, and as a Target Emerging Author Selection. Described as heartwarming, delightful and perfect for book clubs, TOGETHER TEA has received rave reviews from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews and Booklist. Marjan has an MFA in creative writing from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University. Her work has been a top finalist in the Glimmer Train Fiction Open and the Asian American Short Story Contest and has been broadcast on BBC Radio. Her short fiction has also been published in the anthologies Let Me Tell You Where Ive Been and Tremors. Her non-fiction has appeared in The Wall Street Journal and The Los Angeles Review of Books. TOGETHER TEA has been translated into German, Italian, Norwegian, Czech and Slovak. Marjan currently teaches writing at Boston University.
