Dr Masi Mokhtari Hashemian received her doctorate degree in Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Southern California ( USC) in 1991. While in school she founded Persian Student Dental Association ( PSDA). Dr Hashemian has a successful private practice in Irvine, Ca where she provides extensive amount of pro bono dental services for less fortunate members of the community as part of her philanthropic activities. For the last 3 decades she has been a passionate activist on cultural and political matters that affect the community as well as supporting individuals and organizations that work towards improving human relations and quality of life for all. Dr Hashemian has also founded the Iranian American Women's Volleyball Club ( IWVC) in 2009 in Irvine. IWVC has helped women find their passion, work hard to improve their health, overcome many serious health challenges and stigmas, all while having fun through group interaction and constructive competition. This sisterhood has in turn inspired many more women to get active in an organized sport and to participate in community activities that encourages cooperation and mutual understanding. Dr Masi Hashemian has been an active member, volunteer, chair of different committes and sponsor of Iranian American Women Foundation ( IAW Foundation) from it's inception. Currently, she is on the advisory board of ISCC/ MAHAK as well as Children's Hope International Literacy Development ( CHILD).
