| Biography | Bahareh Adami Ardestani: Bahareh was born in Iran but she and her family were forced to seek refugee status in Turkey because of believing in the Baha’i Faith. Bahareh finished high school with 4.00 GPA as one of the top performing mathematics students in Iran, but like the other Baha’is of Iran, going to college was not a reality. It was merely a dream. With virtually no money, she came to the USA in 2008 to continue her education and start a new chapter in her life. When she arrived, her luggage was empty of material wealth; however, it remained well equipped with repressed energy, which later shaped her into a creative contributor to student life at UC Berkeley and beyond. Bahareh won many academic awards including Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship. She graduated from EECS Department at UC Berkeley in December 2013. She currently works as an SEO Engineer at Nuvolum. Volunteering and serving people is the center of her life. |
