Only current legal residents or citizens of the United States are eligible.

 

IAWF is proud to help exceptional students realize their dream of undergraduate and graduate education. The IAW Foundation provides financial assistance to our mentees who have a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, cross-cultural bridge-building, and community service. 

In order to apply for an IAWF scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Be a legal resident (including F-1 Students) or citizen of the United States
  • Demonstrate financial need for educational purposes

Please note that candidates who are part of the IAWF Mentorship Program are prioritized for IAWF scholarships. Go to the mentorship program page to learn more and apply now! 

Thanks to the support of our generous supporters, IAWF has established scholarship funds for students pursuing careers in various fields, as shown below. Mentees can specify which award they are interested in applying for, and donors interested in contributing to these funds can email contact@iawfoundation.org

  • Shirzan Scholarship Fund: For female students who immigrated from Iran

  • Ameri Prize for Civic Leadership: Active in contributing to the public by demonstrating significant involvement with the community through volunteering, service, participating in activities, and making an overall positive impact on the community
  • Behzadi Family Scholarship Fund: To Support students pursuing finance and accounting majors
  • Farzaneh Morshed Scholarship Fund: Benefiting students in financial need

  • How do I apply for the scholarship?

To apply, simply fill out the application on our website. If you are awarded a scholarship, our team will then contact you to request the necessary documents to move forward.

  • What is the application deadline for the scholarship?

The deadline for the scholarship application has already passed. The most recent deadline was November 30, 2023. Please stay tuned for the next round.

  • Are there any eligibility requirements to apply for this scholarship?

Yes, you must be in good academic standing, you need to be a legal resident or citizen of the United States, and you need to demonstrate financial need for educational purposes. F-1 Visa holders are also accepted.

  • Can I apply for multiple scholarships?

Yes, you can apply for multiple scholarships.

  • Are non-U.S. citizens eligible to apply for this scholarship?

Yes, non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship as long as they are legally pursuing their education in the United States.

  • How will I be notified if I'm awarded a scholarship?

We will email you regarding the status of your application through the email you provide in your application.

  • When will I be notified if I’m awarded a scholarship?

Our scholarship committee will approximately have the decisions finalized after one month of the application deadline. You can expect to be notified shortly after that time.

  • Are scholarships available for graduate or postgraduate studies?

Yes, scholarships are available for both undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate students.
