Doroud bar Hamegi! I am a senior attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I am also a member of the OIAC (Oraganization of Iranian American Communities) as well as AAUW (American Association of University Women). I have a background in Psychclogy, Marketing, and I care deeply for women’s rights both in Iran- as well as every strech in the world. Both of my parents are Iranian immigrants, and I identify myself as American-Iranian. I currently work for a social enterprise based in Washington, DC regarding female empowerment/employment as well as poverty alleviation in Nicaragua. My central passion in life is learning endlessly, and helping marginalized groups overcome the bounds of societal/institutional oppression.
