Mrs. Maryam Dalili is a clinical psychotherapist (more specifically, a licensed marriage and family therapist). Mrs. Dalili started her career at a battered womens’ shelter where she helped women and children who had been victims of severe physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse. She was also a mental health professional at Star View Community Services where she worked with under-privileged families. Mrs. Dalili is a proud member of GPALA (Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles), and has led various group therapy sessions, including womens’ groups, process groups, parenting groups and inner child groups. Through her work with a wide range of multicultural clients, she has come to conclude that the keys to helping her clients and creating a transformative experience are by connecting with and understanding clients’ deepest emotions. Mrs. Dalili has therefore completed all the required courses in Emotionally Focused Therapy and has specialized in using this model of therapy to help families and couples. She is now an active member of ICEEFT (International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy), and is the founder of Hand in Hand Counseling Center. Mrs. Maryam Dalili currently practices in three locations: Torrance, Beverly Hills and Downey.
