| Biography | In 1981, Nick Lore founded Rockport Institute, an international career counseling and research organization that develops counseling/coaching methods, trains career coaches and has worked with more than 16,000 individual clients, mostly career changers seeking fulfilling and fitting new work. He has been personally commended by two U.S. presidents. In 1998, Simon & Schuster published his first book, The Pathfinder: How to Choose or Change Your Career for a Lifetime of Satisfaction and Success, which became a national bestseller. In recent years, he has developed methodologies to provide young adults with tools to make fitting career choices. Simon & Schuster published his NOW WHAT? The Young Person’s Guide to Choosing the Perfect Career in 2008. His work has been recommended by Yale University, and courses based mainly on his work have been recently held at Stanford University. He now continues to lead Rockport Institute and manages several coaches who work with clients seeing a career change and younger adults and students making a first-time choice of direction. |
