Shirin Gerami became the first woman to represent Iran in triathlons in 2013. She has since competed for Iran in several international triathlon races, including the Ironman World Championships in 2016. Her hope and dream is a world where anyone, regardless of gender, background, religion, country or clothing choice/need can participate in sports and reap all the benefits it has to offer.
