Biography

I am currently working as consulting lead and analytics modeling specialist for Frontline Systems, the worldwide leader in spreadsheet solvers after graduating with my PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2013.

After completing my undergraduate studies in applied mathematics and Master of Science in industrial engineering in Tehran, Iran, I emigrated to the United States with the goal to increase my opportunities in life and to continue my higher education.

I believe that success is the courage to let out powerful dreams and potentialities that already exist inside of us. Although it is not routine, I see it simply as the normal path of life. It is not that I need to prove myself, instead I feel the need to be able to express myself fully, and am willing to engage in reinvention to become more and more my true self. Optimism is power and this expectation of success always makes me work harder. I am strongly disciplined and have the curiosity and the capacity to learn, which are vital for achievement.

I have more than eight years’ experience in operations research techniques application for solving problems in healthcare, industry, and military and earned the lean for healthcare certificate of Center for Executive Education at the University of Tennessee.

I enjoy working for Frontline Systems. One of my responsibilities is to help companies all over the world to deploy business analytics to identify and leverage business opportunities and make better decisions. Another part of my work is to develop and present educational webinars which expands my abilities to communicate and effectively teach complex concepts.

Since my earliest years, I demonstrated artistic talent. My father encouraged me to work with my hands at drawing, watercolor painting, and creating sculptures. My parents helped me appreciate creativity and peace, as well as to consider the unfortunate aspects of our world. This helps broaden my understanding of differing cultures and increases my compassion for others.
While my work is very important, I also have the desire to contribute to improvement of lives of women in countries where they are severely limited. My belief is that it is vital to contribute to the betterment of our world. Based on this, I shall continue to acquire more knowledge to expand my abilities to better serve the global community.
