Dr. Delaram J. Taghipour believes that some of the most meaningful journeys begin by choosing the path that doesn’t yet exist.

Drawn to medicine by a love of science and a desire to improve the lives of others, she pursued training in General Surgery at Howard University before earning both a Master of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration at Johns Hopkins University. She later completed fellowship training in Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, becoming Hawaiʻi’s only fellowship-trained physician in the specialty and earning board certification in both Venous & Lymphatic Medicine and Preventive Medicine.

Throughout her career, Dr. Taghipour has sought opportunities to bridge medicine, research, education, and public health. Her work has included published research, medical journalism with ABC News, and caring for patients with complex vein and lymphatic disorders. Each experience reinforced the same belief: patients deserve not only advanced medical care, but also clear explanations, genuine compassion, and a physician who takes the time to understand their story.

That belief ultimately led her to found My Vein Doctor, a physician-owned specialty practice dedicated exclusively to vein and lymphatic care. Building a practice from the ground up allowed her to create the kind of environment she had always envisioned, one where expertise and empathy carry equal weight, and where every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health.

As a physician, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner, Dr. Taghipour is passionate about expanding access to specialized care throughout Hawaiʻi while encouraging others to pursue their own ambitions with courage and purpose. She believes that leadership is not simply about reaching milestones, but about creating opportunities for others and leaving every community stronger than you found it.
