Biography

Gilda Gazor is an Iranian-American lawyer, law professor and journalist who was born and raised in Piedmont, California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Policy from UCLA, J.D. from Southwestern Law School and L.L.M. from Shahid Beheshti University Law School in Tehran. Gazor also studied Political Science in Madrid, Spain and lived in Nice, Lille and Paris, where she studied Comparative Law at the Sorbonne.

In 2013, Gazor taught Comparative Constitutional Law and Islamic Law at Southwestern Law School. In 2015, Gazor returned to Iran and ventured on a solo 30-day road trip around the country that she shared on her Instagram page @storiesofiran. Gazor stayed in Tehran for nearly two years, where she gave a TEDx talk and worked as a journalist for PressTV. Gazor recently returned to her home in Los Angeles where she plans to continue working as a lawyer and journalist.
