Ida has a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer engineering from university of Waterloo. Before joining Illumina Ida created a startup company were she was working on invention, design and development of a biomedical device for vein detection, Ida holds a patent in her name for this invention and through this experience Ida found her love for engineering devices that can help human’s health. Ida has been with Illumina for 10 years and has led different Engineering teams from Instrumentation Design/Development to Operations to Consumables Software Management. Currently Ida holds the responsibility as a strategic operations leader for the global Microarrays business at Illumina, targeted to increase capacity, improve the overall flexibility of operations and to deliver a flawless customer experience.
