1. Dr. Refoa was borne in Tehran-Iran into the family of Dr. Amanollah Refooah and Parvin Golshan.
2. She attended National University of Tehran where she was first in her class receiving the degree of Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.).
3. Dr. Refoa won a scholarship to come to United States and attended the University of Southern California, school of dentistry where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), in 1984.
4. Post Graduation she established her own private practice in the city of Beverly Hills, where she has been practicing the art of cosmetic and general dentistry.
5. Currently she is the only Iranian female dentist that own, and operate her own private dental clinic in the city of Beverly Hills. A multi-specialty clinic where her patients can experience the benefits of “one stop dentistry”.
6. Dr. Refoa refers to her practice as a clinic where her patients can have all their dental needs, taken care of under one roof dealing with one management while have the benefit of being tended by some of the best specialists in town under Dr. Refoa’s caring supervision. A dental clinic that delivers all forms of treatments such as periodontal, endodontal, surgical, cosmetic, as well as routine dental care.
7. Dr. Refoa believes that first and the foremost she is a wife and a mother, second a healer, and finally a humanitarian. Her time is devoted to her family, her practice, her continued education, and donating of her time and her support to charities close to her heart such Hadassah, Teen Line ( on the board of Directors), Los Angeles Free Clinic and Paul Harris Foundation, just to name a few.
8. She is a Rotarian, and a community activist. She strongly believes that one must be involved in the on goings of her community and work toward the betterment of the society. She participates in school health fairs and school career days, to encourage the young to maintain oral health and prevent oral disease. She is a strong believer of the power of education and prevention.
9. She is a skilled orator and a lecturer advocating prevention first then treatment. She has lectured in educational institutions, professional organizations and medical facilities for the care of elders.
10. Selected among the top ten dentists in Los Angeles by “TopDoc Los Angeles”, of The Best in LA Medicine, for year 2010-2011 & 2011-2012.
