Biography

Kimia Ramezani is a global mover and shaker who is known for her ability to get things done. She is a future physician, and a fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

As a fellow at the NIH National Cancer Institute, one of her major accomplishments was being able to single handedly plan and organize a breast and cervical cancers education symposium in Tajikistan, the poorest country in Central Asia. The conference was a huge success with over 100 attendees, including members of the Tajikistan Parliament and the Ministry of Health.

Kimia is committed to shifting our nation’s focus to include prevention of chronic conditions and is dedicated to the empowerment of women worldwide. Her vision for SheWins involves revamping the patient experience both inside and outside of the clinical setting.

Kimia has rubbed shoulders with the likes of influential policy-makers, speaks four languages at various levels of proficiency, and currently serves as the NexGen DC Community Outreach Coordinator. She received her B.S. in biology, and her MPH in global health policy from the George Washington University’s Milken Institute of Public Health.
