Maryam is a Corporate Recruiter for Automatic Data Processing who specializes in building strong business units. After graduating from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Speech Communication, she had many opportunities to start her career. Instead, as a firm believer of the phrase, “you can have it all, just not all at once”, Maryam chose to focus her energy on raising her children until they were old enough to go to school full time. Maryam’s passion lies in her fascination with helping people advance their careers. In the early stages of finding a career path of her own, she pursued being a “recruiter”. Despite having any experience at recruiting, Maryam approached and convinced the owner of a company to hire her. Since she started working 11 years ago, she has become very well-known in the industry; she used to head hunt for candidates, but now people are approaching her to help them find a job. She has hosted workshops and given speeches on interviewing techniques, networking, resume writing, and more.
