Biography

Mojgan Anvari-Brumby enjoyed a peaceful, happy childhood in Iran until the Islamic Revolution began. Her father, a four-time world champion Greco-Roman wrestler who represented Iran in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and the 1972 Munich Olympics, was respected by the Shah. Both her parents dedicated themselves to seeing that their children were well-educated and poised to make a positive impact in the world. When the revolution began, their steadfast support of their children would guide them all through the reversal of fortune that would soon take hold.
In the decade after the revolution, Mojgan witnessed the new government seize her family’s property and businesses, jail her father, and subject her and other women to nearly daily reminders of their hostile stance toward women, including the denial of their basic human rights. In the end, they created a fierce opponent in Mojgan.
While in college and then law school in Tehran, she was arrested several times for staging and participating in protests. Upon the urging of her family who were keenly aware of the mounting surveillance she was under, she immigrated to the United States early in 2001.
Speaking almost no English, with little money or connections, she began pursuing a better life. With her first achievement—being granted asylum—accomplished, she wasted no time learning English and educating herself to find a successful footing in the financial industry.
As her fortunes began to change in her new home, she never forgot where she came from and the people she had to leave behind. An unlikely event reconnected her to an important part of her past and opened the door to her future.
After a friend’s breast cancer scare, she began to research the suspected links between skin products and certain cancers. The more research she did, the scarier the grey areas became. She recalled the simple remedies her grandmother, mother and aunt would create in their kitchen back in Iran.
This was the spark that would become Blue Monarch. Her all-natural skin care line combines traditional Persian remedies passed down to Mojgan with the most advanced technology and science. All of Blue Monarch’s products use only certifiably raw, natural ingredients, that are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals, and never use synthetic and other harmful ingredients. They are all made in the United States, and now are available at her new store, aptly named Blue Monarch, located at 464 Boston Post Road in Weston, Massachusetts, and online at http://www.BlueMonarch.com
