Poppy Farsijani is a former reporter, TV anchor, turned author and perfume entrepreneur. Born in Tehran and raised in Brooklyn, she returned to Tehran as a teenager only to move back to NYC as a young adult. While in Iran, she embraced and explored its way of life and later shared her story in the Iran through the lens of a Brooklynized teenager. Her memoir, “Shaming My Red Lips” proved to be an important challenge and one that later helped launch her business, Desert35 Fragrances. Born out of her own personal journey of self-discovery, The Poppy Collection: The Power of Authenticity, Unrestricted collection along with a platform for everyone to customize scents was launched.
With two Bachelor degrees: one from Tehran University in Italian Literature and a second from CSU Fullerton in Broadcast Journalism, Poppy also earned her MBA from Pepperdine. Fluent in English, Italian and Farsi, Poppy is also an avid dancer, tennis player, and book enthusiast.
