Sarah Ravani is a breaking news reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle. She covers news in the Bay Area with an emphasis on crime. Ravani graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in May 2016 where she produced work in audio, photo and digital storytelling. Her coverage included stories on race/identity, the LGBT community and human rights. Her masters project was an investigation on two police precincts in Queens and their alleged sexual and physical abuse toward Latino transgender women. She has also covered issues of sexual abuse in the Muslim American community and stigma surrounding sexually transmitted diseases. Ravani will be joining us live via Twitter and will be tweeting her answers to the panelist questions.
