Biography

Shaghayegh Cyrous is an Iranian artist living in Bay Area at present. She holds her graduate degrees in Painting and visual art from Science & Culture University of Tehran. She has been working tirelessly for Color and its Use in Iran Rich Culture ever since and had several collaborative programs within San Francisco districts including ChinaTown, SFMTA (Municipal Transportation Agency of San Francisco), Clarion Alley mural project and SOMArts Center.
Her projects have been honored and exhibited within various venues such as Saba Museum-Tehran, the 10th International Biennial of Mexico, Science & Culture University of Tehran, British Museum-London, East Art Gallery-Tehran, Aaran Gallery-Tehran, Seyhoun Art Gallery-Tehran, SOMArts Culture Center-San Francisco, Permanent collection at Red Crescent Organization of Tehran. Besides, her art works have been awarded on the honor lists of the In appreciation of Shamsol ‘Emare, Golestan palace,2011, Tehran, Been honored in First Iranian youth’s art festival Saba museum,2010 Tehran Through all her projects, Motivation as well as The Lost received much attention in the media including Shahrvande Emrooz Paper, Donyaye-Eghtesad Magazine, East Art Gallery News, Farhang Radio Broadcasting Channel, ISNA, National Iranian Channels and VOA. Her illustrations have also been published in several books mainly, The Weird Dream authored by MohammadReza Yousefi, Swimming in the Ice by AmirHossein Daneshvar, and Mar Negro by Anna Azmoonian throughout Tehran and Chile Moreover, Shaghayegh was invited by Siamak Pourzand Institute supported by National Endowment for Democracy to present her plan named ,Color Censorship in Iran .
