Shiva has recently joined 23andMe as the Director of Research Infrastructure, she was previously the Director of Data Science at Bay Area molecular technology company Zymergen Inc. Prior to that she was the CEO of biomedical AI firm BioSysmetrics inc. and has worked at startups, research organizations and government. She has a HBSc in Computer Science and Biology from U of T and a PhD in Computational Biochemistry from Oxford. Shiva is an expert on the use of data science in biology and human health and the role of these technologies in the advancement of medical research.
