Ms. Tahirih Danesh is the Executive Director of Persia Educational Foundation. She has worked and lived in Asia, Europe and the Americas. As the founder and Chief Editor of UK Foreign Policy Centre’s Iran Human Rights Review, she is an established researcher and policy advisor. Ms. Danesh has worked as an independent consultant dedicated to in-depth investigation, research and documentation, analysis and reporting of human rights abuses of minorities in Iran, and women in the MENA region, focusing on allegations of serious violations of international criminal law based on religion, ethnicity, gender or age. She has contributed to and published a range of books, reports, submissions, statements, and policy documents at the national or international levels, including the United Nations. A former Honorary Fellow at the prestigious Crucible Centre for Human Rights Researcher at UK’s Roehampton University, she is an active proponent of education and of raising public awareness about human rights, and an advocate of education for women and children in line with Sustainable Development Goals.
