Pianist and composer Tara Kamangar has been described as a “huge talent” by London’s Evening Standard and “a world-class pianist who excels at blending the best of Western and Middle Eastern compositions” by Gulf News. Her repertoire ranges from the standard classical canon to rarely-heard works by Iranian composers, and she has incorporated Kurdish folk music into her own compositions. A versatile artist, Tara is the pianist and violinist for the urban-classical project Triptyq, whose first single reached No. 2 on the iTunes classical charts. Tara is an honors graduate of Harvard and London’s Royal Academy of Music.
