Farah Majidzadeh

Farah Majidzadeh came to the United States in June of 1960 after receiving her Nursing Degree from the School of Nursing & Homeopathic Medicine in London, England. In 1973, Ms. Majidzadeh started Resource International, Inc. (Rii) as a one-person company from the basement of her home, which has grown to a successful and diverse firm still operating under her management. Rii is a full-service civil engineering firm specializing in planning, design, construction management, asset management and information technology services. Rii has seven regional and project offices throughout Ohio, the Midwest and Florida, with previous work in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Ms. Majidzadeh served for 15 years as unprecedented chairperson of an International Joint Venture (Highway Maintenance Associates) in Saudi Arabia; 2000 Vice Chairperson of International Road Federation; 2013 Chairperson of International Road Education Foundation Development Committee; 2012 Small Business Person of the Year Award, 2011 Enterprising Women of the Year Award, 2001 Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and 2000 Ohio Women's Hall of Fame; 2013 Board of Directors for IRF and Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans organizations.
